Affirmations
What are affirmations?
Affirmations are short, intentional statements designed to influence thought patterns, reinforce desired beliefs, and support emotions and behaviours through repetition.
They can help with:
Shifting negative thought patterns
Building self-confidence and self-esteem
Managing stress and anxiety
Creating a more compassionate inner dialogue
Supporting mindset shifts during challenging times
Improving emotional resilience and coping skills
Strengthening intention in daily life
A few affirmations for you to try
For calm and grounding:
“I trust the rhythm of life. I do not need to rush”
“Everything is unfolding in its time. I am right where I need to be”
For self love:
“I am worthy of love from others and most importantly myself”
“The way I speak to myself matters. I choose tenderness.”
How to use affirmations:
Take a Breath First
Before reading an affirmation, pause and take a deep breath. Let your nervous system settle so the words can really land.
Say It Out Loud or Whisper It
Speaking affirmations aloud, even softly helps shift your energy and makes the words feel more real.
Repeat Daily (or Often!)
Repetition is powerful. Keep your affirmation somewhere you’ll see it regularly: on your mirror, phone lock screen, journal, or workspace.
Feel Into the Words
Don’t worry about fully believing it right away. Just let yourself feel what it would be like if it were true.
Pair It with a Ritual
Say your affirmation while lighting a candle, doing breathwork, sipping tea, or during your skincare routine. Let it become part of a nourishing moment.
Use It When You Need Support
When you’re overwhelmed, anxious, or self-critical, come back to the affirmation like a soft place to land.
Write It Down
Journaling about how the affirmation applies to your day or how you want it to feel can deepen the impact.
Let It Evolve With You
Some affirmations might speak to you for a season. Others might stay with you for years. Use what resonates, and trust your intuition.
